13% of South African children are overweight or obese, which is more than double the global average of 5%. Eating yoghurt daily can reduce the risk of obesity by almost a fifth, but children are inheriting bad eating habits from their parents. So, it’s hard to break the cycle.
We set out to effect change across all generations by starting with moms. Because if we teach moms healthy eating habits, the knowledge will inevitably get passed down to their children, and their children’s children, until eventually, we’ve effectively changed the way all South Africans think about health.
